THE BASICS ON RECOVERY HOMES - Date TBD Soon!


To educate recovery homes on the importance of operating legally, the City of Philadelphia and Pennsylvania Alliance of Recovery Residence (PARR) have joined forces.

PARR is the local resource for recovery residences and ensures that recovery homes operate to national standards.

This training will walk the audience through the process of offering a safe environment and improved quality of life in recovery residences. It will consist of:

License & Inspections:

  • Zoning, licensing, and permitting requirements for rooming and boarding homes.

  • The importance of compliance with the Philadelphia Property Maintenance and Fire Codes to keep residents safe.

PARR:

  • How to become a registered recovery home, including review of application materials, PARR Q&A for Operating a Recovery Residence, Pre-inspection Checklist and Membership Application.

The steps involved in the application process, including interviews with the operator and inspection of the properties.
